Montecito Sequoia Lodge, Wilsonia

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and variety of the food at Montecito Sequoia Lodge. Each meal was buffet-style, and I was able to indulge in dishes like kalua pork and tri-tip. The fact that meals were included made our stay even more enjoyable, allowing us to focus on exploring without worrying about where to eat each day. I loved being able to grab snacks and fruit whenever I wanted, which was perfect for our daily hikes!

The children's amenities at the lodge truly made our experience lovely. My kids eagerly participated in various activities like archery, canoeing, and the evening campfire with s'mores. They even had the opportunity to go on overnight camp trips, which they loved. I appreciated the flexibility for my children to either join organized groups or hang out with us, allowing for great family bonding time.

We stayed in a lovely vintage room with a queen bed and a bunk bed, which was perfect for our family of four. The room provided ample space and comfort during our stay. While it may not have been luxurious, it had everything we needed and was clean and well-maintained. I particularly enjoyed having a private bathroom, which added convenience.

The lodge offered numerous opportunities to unwind and enjoy nature. I spent several afternoons relaxing by the beautiful lake, which had paddleboards and kayaks that we could use. The surrounding trails were perfect for hiking too, making it easy to immerse myself in the stunning scenery. The evenings by the campfire, complete with s'mores and star-gazing, rounded off my days beautifully!
